Lora blinked at Katrina, who she had put to sleep in her bed once they had arrived in the cave, luckily the Lycan princess hadn't been sensed by anyother vampire yet; and so, they were safe in her room.
Oddly enough for the vampiress, she felt maternal around the young she-wolf, as if a serrogate mother to her. And in a way she would be. With a sigh she leaned back in ehr chair looking at the sleeping girl warily. |

Katrina had curled up under the covered, the tip of her ears barely showing. She made no noise as she laid there, a quiet sleeper. So many thoughts buzzed in her head as she laid there. The events of the previous night swarmed her like raind bee's as she lay. A tiny uiet whine escaped her lips as she dreamed..but her dreams were becoming nightmares..She knew, deep inside, That for quiet some time, her life would be hell..

Frowning, Lora stood and sat on the edge of the bed before whispering into her ear "Hush, everything is fine..." Lora sat bac up right and lifted a hand to her cheek, where Adrias had hit her with the bladed knuckles. That was going to scar.
Closing her eyes Lora let out a sigh before turning and looking at Katrina, a small smile on her lips; She folded her hands in her lap, awaiting her awakening. |

Katrina rolled over, her ears flat on her head. Her eyes snapped open and the covers rolled off her like silk as she sat up, her pupils wide.She shook her head and rubbed her eyes, to be sure this was what had really happened.
She turned and looked at Lora, then around the room. It was a nice room. "Thankyou..Lora.." she said gently, resisting the urge to call her mom..Something inside of her clicked...

Lora smiled "Not a problem Katrina." She smiled and stood before walking to a large wardrobe. She blinked back at katrina "The vampires will catch on to you fastly if you look like a Lycan royal." She opened it's large oak doors before pulling out a long Black dress with Ruby hued ribbons running up the front.
She lay the dress out on the, it was beautiful. "This one should fit you." She murmered before going back to the wardrobe for a pair of black heels and a ruby neclace. She put them near the dress and smiled "I hope you like them." She laughed lightly and sat in a near by char waiting for ehr response. |

Katrina looked at them, the ruby's shining in her eyes. "Oh..Its beautiful.." She said as she rose and faced it, runin gher hand along one of the laces. She picked up the necklace and fit it around her neck perfectly. She changed into the outfit quickly, lying her dress on the bed grently as she put the heels on. Her mother would have never done this..She couldnt beleive ad rubies just lying around...If she had rubies, she would wear them every day...She couldnt say she missed the royal life..She had always hated it.."And call me Rina." she said kindly to her with a light curtsie.

Lora smiled and gathered Rina's older dress and hung it in the wardrobe before smiling at her "You look dazzling Rina." She blinked and took a beautiful mirror from the wardrobe; one she had gotten many years ago-- an enchanted mirror. She blinke dat it's refective surface admiring ehrself in it before turning it to Katrina, allowing her to see how she looked. "Rina, for awhile we must lay low-- I'm sure that most vampires won't be keen on your being here- but I'll kill them if they give you a hard time. We just need to make sure they don't get to you." |

Katrina turned gently, looking at herself in the dress. It was a big difference, but she liked it. She looked up at Lora and nodded, a slightly concerned look on her face. "But..Wont they smell me? In case you havent noticed..I dont smell like a vampire..." She said quietly.

Keera found her way out of the woods with ease, Adrias still fresh on her mind as she moved. She opened the door gently, her hand moving swiftly as she opened and closed it. A faint smell of wolf carressed her nose gently as she walked. A low hiss could be heard..She hated it when vampires came in with the smell of wolf on them.

She blinked, honestly she'd been used to the scent of Lycan and hadn't thought of that. "Mhmmm..." She went to her closet and took out a small vial of sweet smelling perfume. "Now, we just need to be sure to avoid Melody and Keera," She paused and opened the vial before placing a few drops on her pulse places and a single drop in her hair. "This will mask your scent, but those with highly trained senses will be able to see through it." She sighed "Luckily for us, I think we can evade them for the most part." |

Katrina nodded and took the perfume, lightly spraying it. She stretched lightly and looked at Lora."How do I look?"She asked sweetly, maskig her lycan accent with tthat of a vampires. Her ears were flat against her head, where they would remain in the presence of anyone else besides Lora.

Keera took in the smell, it led her to Lora's door. Rasing her hand to knock, she stopped, a sinister smile on her lips. She had better ideas. She walked away from the door and laughed quietly to herself. Grabbing a glass from a trey a young vampiress was carrying, she sipped gently while walking towards a chair that faced the door.

Lora smiled "Absolutely wonderful." She laughed lightly and gently stroked her hair, catching 'fly-aways' and pressing them into the rest. She smiled "you look stunning." She stepped aside "shall we go tour the rest of the cave?" She smiled "it's fun to make the male vampires gawk." She smiled and offered her serrogate 'daughter' her arm, before turning to face the door. |

Walking out into a semi-dark corridor Lora led Rina through the darkness, walking past numerous vampires, who just as Lora said they would gawked at the beauties.
Holding her head high she ontinued to stroll down the hall, defiantly walking with Rina, turning heads and piquing intrest. |

Katrina held fast to her arm, she wasnt quiet sure why, but inside she felt different..A new kind of arrogance inside of her. Different at it made her feel, she liked it.
Keera rose, her glass in her hand. She easily stepped from the crowd in front of Lora. "Dear Lora..Who is this?" She hissed as her hand gently took Katrina's chin. She knew good nad well who it was, she just wanted to know if Lora would lie to protect her..If she did, Keera would know that Lora had taken her in as a daughter, the shimmer in her eyes already gave some away..

Lora closed her eyes momentarily. 'damn...' She opened her eyes and smiled faintly "Meet my daughter Rina." She looked at Keera, her eyes dancing with hope-- praying that she'd be able to keep Rina safe. She'd die before letting anyone hurt Rina.
Taking a step backward to put a small space between Keera and Rina she smiled "I think Ebony and Crimson look very charming on her." Lora smiled and kept close to Rina, protectively keeping their arms still linked. |

Katrina surpressed her growls as Keera touched her, and when Lora interveined, she wanted to shout for joy..She wasnt sure how long she could hold off before lunging at her..She knew this secret was a life or death one, and she needed to hold her tongue and watch it.
Keera crossed her arms and nodded. "Oh really.." she replied, her voice full of doubt. "I am afraid I need you and your um...Daughter....To accompany me to the private rooms...I am afriad we need to talk..." She said boredly. The thoughts of ripping Lora's heart out from beneath her by the death of another only simply pleased her a bit. She knew she would have to talk to the others about Katrina's fate, but for now, Katrina's life was in her hands, and she was sure Lora knew that.

Lora surpressed a growl and nodded, still holding onto Rina, her head held high. it wasn't too surprising that Keera had figured it out, but she'd be damned if she was going to let her kill Rina with out a fight. However, she masked her rage with a simple and oh-so-calm nod. "Very well." |

Katrina gave Lora a look, but played along as she clung to her arm.
Keera rolled her eyes at the two as she opened the door into the large private room. The room was wonderful and glorious, everything silver and gold. The room was large and it had a long silver table in the middle. There was a chair for each tribe leader, along with their advisor and body guard. There was a fresh glass of blood in each place, the glass's had a gold trim around the top. For a vampire, it was heaven, for a lycan...It wasnt so much...

Lora frowned and stepped away from the silver table, standing in the shadows of the room. Katrina at her side. Keera made the vampriss un-easy-- not to mention what intentions she had for Katrina. Keeping herself between the fallen angel and her serrogate daughter. |

Keera easily grabbed a chair and twirled it around to face them, her glass in her hand. She gracefully took a seat while facing them. "Come now, I wont do any harm to our young heiress. " She said casually to them. "However, Melody.....wonder hoy Syrenia would feel if her daughter become anothers..In fact, it might do Melody good To foster this child." she hissed, knowing good and well if Katrina was taken from Lora, it would just eat her up inside.
Katrin glanced about the room...So...much...silver...Her gaze shifted to Keera as she heard her name. Confusion filled her eyes as she looked at Lora.

Lora put on a cold glare "If you think anyone's taking my child you're mad." She tensed her shoulders before casting an assuring and protective look over Katrina, she swore she'd keep hersafe, and that would not change. A fire burned in ehr eyes. That of a mother protecting her child. |

Katrina gave her a light smile as she peered out at Keera, a cold look on her face.
"Ah, There in lies the problem. You took her from hr mother. She is not your child, you merely convinced her to come. You are but a pawn in the big scheam of things. Now, do not worry, no harm will befall her, and you will be able to see her..She will not be locked in a room..Dear me no...She will be trained by Melody and I, and she will become Melody's Heir to the throne, Melody will become her Foster parent, and you shall beome the child Bodyguard..She will not b taken immedietly, I will give you a few days to get her aquanted with all, and to getr her comfortable in her surroundings, but when That is done, she will leave your care." she spoke with that of a wise vampire, She was. She did this not only for Katrina, but fo rLora. She couldnt have one of her best fighter become a sap over some child she hardly knows...However, she wouldnt deny that the tears to come would make her smile..

Lora growled, her deep golden eyes diluding to a captivating crimson. "And I will tell you again, Melody will not touch this child." She narrowed her eyes "A mere 'pawn' as I amy be I have made her a promise and will die to keep it." She barred her fangs instinctively before regaining her composure.
"I did not 'take' her from Syrenia. Syrenia was not fit to be a mother." She narrowed her eyes, the fire burning in them fuel by a strong need to protect Katrina. "And You will not remove her from my care." She paused. "as Generous as you attempt to sound Keera, respectfully declined." |

Katrina Nodded to Keera, glad someone was sticking up fo rher in this dim place..
Keera gave her a look that could freeze over the sun. "I'm not offering, I'm ordering...and I am not taking her from your care Lora...you will just not be her parent. You will still be in charge of keeping her sfae, and happy. You will be included in almost everything she does. You will have a reserved spot in her future. In this time, I wouldnt dream of taking her from you. She needs you right now, your the only one she trusts, so you will not be romoved from he rlife for some time, if at all. ill give you a week to show her the ropes, after that, she is Melody's, and you are a body guard." She spoke with kind, but harsh words. She rose, swiveled the chair around, and walked outm her glass in hand. She left no room for contradiction.

Lora narrowed her eyes, angry tears forming in the corners of her eyes before calling after Keera "We will not stay under such circumstances Keera, you know that as well as I!" She sent a protective look over Katrina, she didn't trust Melody all... After all the crazed vampire ruler fed on ehr own kind... She could only imagine what she'd do to her prescious Rina.
She narrowed her eyes before looking back at Rina, knowingly "Don't fret... I have many places to stay in Dark palaces..." Her voice was gentle; only for Katrina to hear. She was deathly serious-- If they thought that they could do that....
Lora closed her eyes and sighed-- She wouldn't give up. She wan't going to give them Rina. It wasn't going to happen. |

Katrina put a kin dhand on her shoulder. "They will kill you if you dont comply. This melody cant be that bad...And I will get to see you all the time..Lets just forget about it for now..We have a week..." her voice was reassuring..Though she didnt want to leave Lora either..But she didnt want to see her get hurt.

She sighed softly "I'll give you a few things to take with you when they move you." She smiled softly-- Pehaps this would be better for Rina. But she would still keep a wathful eye on her. |
