Ahren walked up to the falls and let the mist splash onto his face. He'd been here everyday since he had come here and it still gave off a certain calmness and beauty that will never change. He quickly dipped his hand into the water and began to wash the blood from his body as he waited for Rina.

She emerged silently from the darkness, as an innocent child emerges from its mothers womb. Her eyes found him as she slowly moved. "So where is he?" she asked softly, her voice just above a whisper.

He turned around to look at her and continued to wipe himself off. "He's behind the falls..." he told her. "I'd rather wash up before he sees me..." he told her, giving her a look. "You of all people should know he likes to meet with clean people. Seeing as the only position in his life that I have is getting him food, I have to look my best." He finished cleaning up, dried his hands on his pants and held out his hand for her to take. "Come on... I'll lead you through..." he told her. "Do you trust me?"

"No." she said as she took his hand and held it tightly. Her eyes were not on him though, they were on the falls. He was behind it.. It was so simple....but why would he hide?

He took her hand gently, as lightly as though he were a suitor, being watched by her entire court and her parents and would have his throat slit if he made the wrong move. He grabbed a stick from beside the falls and held it under the water. It made a perfect triangle of no water. He smiled at her and held her hand up to help her through.

Slipping underneath the water, her eyes were met with wonder, and beauty and she stood still, amazed. It was beautiful.

He came in after her and left her standing at where he left her and walked past her into the darkness. "Lupus?" she heard him call. There was a scuffling and a grunt and a torch came to life and, standing before her, streaching and yawning, was a half starved and weak black form of her father. His eyes blinked and he had to rub them again to actually believe what he was looking at. "Rina? My little Rina?" he asked, hardly daring to believe his eyes. He turned to Ahren with a gruff look. "What trickery is this!" he snapped.
Ahren smiled and bowed lightly. "No trickery, my lord. I know you made me swear to tell no one of your existance and allow everyone to believe you had been killed but how could you leave your daughter out of your life? She has no one else..." His sweet pleading eyes turned to her with a glimmer of hope.

Rina's hand quickly covered her mouth at the sight of his scraggly figure. "D...Dad? W..what the hell?!?!?!?" Anger flashed into her eyes as she shoved her father backwards. "I thought you were dead dammit! How could you do that to me?!?!?!?! Now look at yourself!!! You should have come home!!!! I cant fucking believe this!!!" she growled.

Ahren stood respectfully back in silence.
Lupus growled and grabbed her wrist in a grip of iron. Not intending to hurt, intending for her to stay and listen to what he had to say. "I hid because Dante thought I was dead, Rina! He thought he bested me." he snorted at the insolence. "Your mother wants nothing more to do with me. If I had showed up in her room after he told her I was dead, she would've ripped me to pieces! Not to mention, I have a plan. A plan I have shared with no one. Not even Ahren." he glanced back at him then leaned forward softly and whispered. "I couldn't even tell you, dear Rina. Someone would've followed you here. Ahren will be delt with later for bringing you here. Someone could've followed you." he growled.

Rina growled as he grabbed her and her eyes flashed to her werewolf side. Do not touch me.. You have degraded yourself... You have let a puppy best you.. He may not have killed you, but he made you hide!" her arm switched violently into her werewolf form, and she roughly pulled it from his grip. Letting it morph back, she stood as tall as him, and growled. "Your pathetic, and a waste. Your not worthy of anything anymore..How dare you just let me fall, then let an asshole take over.. He should have killed you." she said gruffly, her eyes angrier than she had every been.

He shrugged, not even bothering to let her insults hurt him. He didn't care. His plan had been to put Rina on the throne. But, if she was going to be a little ass like her mother, he was going to skip her altogether. He took the red feather out from behind his ear and twirled it in his fingers. He had someone else in mind if she wouldn't cooperate.''
"Say what you want, Rina." he said calmly, turning to walk back across the cave. "I don't care. GOing into "hiding" as you say, has all been part of my plan. Whether you want to be part of the plan or not, that's souly up to you."
Ahren cleared his throat and stepped forward. "Clearly, my lord, your daughter's been through a rough time with this. Maybe you can wait a while to tell her your plans? I mean, she's just had a shock that you're alive."
Lupus turned flashing eyes on Ahren. "Silence!" he said. "You have no room to tell me what to do." he snapped.
Ahren frowned. Clearly, he hated being Lupus's "slave".

Rina shook her head in disgust. "What happened to you.." her voice was soft, frail. "You always had anger inside you, and it had helped you to rule the land.. You were fierce in battle.. And no one could ever get to you...And now your surprised that I fall into your footsteps? " her voice cracked as her hands fell limp at her side.
As he yelled at Ahren, she jumped. "Dont yell at him!" she growled and screamed at the same time. "You've pushed everyone else who loved you out of your life, He's all you got left." she chocked.

Lupus looked over at her with a calm, curious look. "Pushed everyone out, have I?" his voice became cold and his face became like steel, shadowed and cruel. "I scarcely remember you coming in here, bitching to me that I've become worthless and a coward, hiding behind a waterfall! It's not my fault you came in here hating the sight of me!" he huffed. They looked exactly the same when they were mad. "If you don't want anything else to do with me or my plans....Get out..." he growled, his eyes flashing dangerously.
Ahren cleared his throat. "My lord... Can we talk about this?"
But Lupus ignored him, all his attention on Rina.

Rina shook her head. "I don't hate the sight of you, Ihate what you've become. No one asked you to hide away, and you know mother would not have killed you, because I would have killed her, and she knows it. " she said, growling. Both were stubborn headed, both the same. "Was I supposed to kiss your feet, glad to see you alive? You raised me differently." she said, turning to leave. "If I leave now, you will be dead to me. It's up to you whether or not I do."
Looking at Ahren, her eyes softened. "And you can serve who you want to, but will you stay with him, or with me?"

Lupus growled and looked away, crossing his arms and looking a lot like a hot headed teenager. But finally, his sense as a father kicked in and he sighed. "I'm sorry, Rina..." he said softly. He rubbed the back of his neck and sat down on a rock, his head between his hands. "This wasn't the way it was supposed to happen... Will you stay? Will you allow me to you my plan?" he asked her, looking up at her with tear filled, hopeful eyes. The eyes of someone who had seen the end and beat it. The eyes of someone who had nothing else to loose.
Ahren walked to Rina's side. "I only got him food..." he told her with a shrug of his shoulders. "If you leave, I go with you but he starves...." he pointed out.

Rina smiled softly at her father, then looked at Ahren. "Then it's a good thing I'm not leaving." she said gently, and out of the moment, she kissed his cheek. Afterwards, she realized what she had done. It felt right.
Walking over to her father, she gently sat on the cold floor before him."Well..so tell me."

Ahren grinned and a soft bluch creeped into his face. He put his hand up to where she kissed him and he moved to sit on a rock beside them.
Lupus looked up at her and nodded his head in approval before relaxing backwards. "Ah...Where to begin..." he said softly. He ran a hand through his dirty, mud streaked blonde hair and began. "Well, it was soon after your mother became pregnant from Dante." he told her. "I had been listening to conversations in the secret passageways and rooms you and I know about." he told her, winking at her. "Nothing was good... Nothing was good for you, hun. I knew I had to protect you. My only jewel, my only life force. So, I devised a plan, a plan so rotten, I knew you'd take it. A plan to get you on the throne." he told her. He struggled with words. "Now, I don't think you're going to like this but, I've made contact with Jack, leader of the Vampires and he's agreed to help you get to the throne. He's a half breed so he will be easy to blend in as a werewolf." he told her. "But, I need your cooperation of it first..." he told her.

Growling as Jack's name came up, the hair on her neck bristled. "I refuse to have any contact with him. He can help, I don't trust him, don't ask me to respect, or acknowledge him, because I wont. If you put him in the same room as me tomorrow, I will kill him.' She growled.

He shrugged. "That's the way I taught you and that's the way I want you to be but, he's going to be the only way you get in, Rina. Unless you want to talk to his son, Alex. He's a good boy I hear. Complete opposite of his brother Willym whom, I'm hearing, is making quite a reputation for himself..." he shrugged. "Unless you have another idea..." he told her.

Lupus frowned, clearly debating on whether it was going to work without conversation and simple words but he trusted his daughter and pushed it no further. He stood up with a groan. "Right now, Ahren has told me, he's in Weeping Springs. The best place to.... talk to him and get your stories and plans straight. Ahren will go with you since you wish not to speak. He can speak for you." he touched that subject lightly. Quickly springing to the next thing. "If anything goes wrong, Rina. Don't be afraid to kill him. That will turn the vampires aganist us and I already have a plan if that happens. We're backed up either way." he leaned forward and kissed her forehead with a smile. "I've missed you so much..." he whispered, his eyes soft.
But, the moment was soon past and he was thrusting a sealed letter to Ahren. "If anyone besides Alex gets this, I'll make sure you rot in Hell." he growled, but, he was no longer mean to him as he had before. Not in the presence of Rina anyway....
Ahren nodded. "Of course, my lord." he told him. "I'll protect it with my life..."

Turning, Rina followed Ahren from the cave. Looping her arm in his, and leaned lightly on him. "I anything happens, do NOT go back to serving my father. If I find he is still treating you in such manners, I will deal with it. You may return to help him, but do not bow at his feet.. Treat him with respect.. but he is not a master. " she said softly.'

Ahren nodded. "Of course. It's just, when I met him, I couldn't turn into a werewolf like you guys can and he intimadated me. If I did the wrong thing, I wouldn't be able to protect myself and besides, he needed help when I first found him. He was close to death and he needed food. I couldn't just leave him to die..." he glanced down at her arm looped with his and immediatly, his mind fell to that one night with her. It was hard now, not to think of her in that way but he'd have to be formal and nice. He hated the way his werewolf form treated her and he wanted to be different. Come time for her to choose, he'd accept which ever creature she preferred.

Leaning her head on his shoulder, she felt him tense up. She knew what he was thinking about. "Ahren.. I want you to know.. That I do not want you to worry about what I, or anyone else thinks.. I want you to be happy with yourself.. ." Stopping, she looked up at him. "I must be held responsible for my actions. Since I was a child, my anger and emotions have always tormented me. Ahren, I know what you want from me, and I want to give it all to you.. But you must understand I can not control myself at will. " she said gently. "One day.. I can feel it coming.. One day.. You will have to kill me to preserve yourself.. However that day is not near.. And until that day comes.. No matter what happens.. I do love you. Not because of what you can do.. but because of who you are now.. Right now."

He frowned at her as she stopped and listened to what she had to say. His spirits seemed to lift. Not exactly because of what she was saying. "But, don't you see?" he asked her, his voice excited. "We're perfect for each other because one, I can't control this demon inside me and I have ghosts of the past that torment me. Rina, I killed all of my siblings. Everyone one of them. I can remember watching myself eat their flesh, tear limbs from torsos. Its a living nighmare and all the while, I could do nothing but moan in pain and agony as this demon destroyed what family I did have. I was the oldest and they had all looked to me for comfort. And I killed them. You can't control your emotions, taking it out on people without being able to stop yourself or care of others feelings. In a way, we can take it out on each other and we won't be hurting the other!" he was excited now. He just hoped he wouldn't hurt her feelings or push her away. "I've always fancied you, Rina. Even when you were trying to kill me only a few hours ago, I still loved you, loved your wild look and the way you held your pose. When that day comes where I have to kill you, I just hope by then you're Queen and have children of your own, hopefully mine..." was that too forward? "Please Rina, don't pity yourself or make yourself harder to get. I love you the way you are..." he told her.

She looked at him, opening her mouth to speak, closing her eyes in disgust as he went into detail. Leaning close to him, she nodded. "I don;t want a perfect fit.. I want the rough edges.. That's why I'm here..With you now.." she said softly, looking up at him gently."Love is edging into my eyes.. And I had such little left.. You anger me so much1" she said, beating his chest gently with her fist. "You make me feel emotions I shoved away, tp protect myself. " tears rolled down her face as she spoke. "Gah! I.. Ijust want to dig out your heart and be done with you!!! And if you were anyone else..I would have!!! But don't you see?? I can't.. I already know it's mine to destroy...Or keep..So I'll destroy it another day...Away from existence.. So I can always be with you.." she said gently.

"Well, I promise, when that time comes, that you can destroy my heart because I have already given it to you long ago..." he told her with a weak smile. "But now, let us not dwell on this. We have a mission to complete!" he let her hands drop and gave her a mischevous grin.
