Syrenia stood in the throne room, her white fur rippling as she paced, her eyes betraying her calm appearance; showing the un-ease that lat so deeply inside. She frowned and shook her head before flicking her ears foreward and gazing out the window.
With a half-hearted sigh she settled herself down on the stone throne and cast a saddened look across the empty room before sighing. "Ah, Where have they all gone?" She gripped the arms of the chair and frowned.

Watching this through curious eyes, Adrias kept to the shadows on the far side of the room. Why she hadn't said anything about him being there was a mystery to him. Perhaps she just wasn't attentive at the moment...
Folding his arms across his chest, he raised an eyebrow and cleared his throat. "Out on a hunt, perhaps?" So far, he had been able to avoid fights with the werewolves, maybe his luck would hold out, even against their leader... "Forgive my intrusion, I am merely a bystander in this whole affair..."
He made sure to speak loud enough for her to hear, and kept his stance the way it was, making no move for his concealed weapons.

Syrenia Lifted a brow "Ah... A vampire?" She raised to her feet with a grace that would've easily stunned many. She took an advancing pace and blinked at him "Perhaps....Perhaps." She laughed cooly "Dear, there are no 'by-standers' in this 'affair'." She turned slowly before walking a few paced and looking back at him "Unfortunate as it may be, I'm afraid 'by-standers' such as yourself tend to be dragged into matters."
Her voice was cold and void of emotions; But her eyes... They told of a deep hurting.

Keen to catch the pain in her eyes, Adrias said nothing of it. He would not touch upon the matters that were not meant for him to know, and besides, he was in werewolf country. The vampire knew very well about how vulnerable he was. With a slight nod, he sighed. "I suppose it can't be helped... Just by being here I probably have already made a commitment, no?"
Continuing to study Syrenia's body language, he frowned. "But to put it bluntly, this coming war is none of my concern. I am far more interested in the story behind it..." He had heard of a script that had proclaimed his kind would rule the world, but Adrias thought that the tale was nothing more then propaganda. "I was hoping that someone of your rank and position would be able to point me in the right direction..."

With a cold laugh Syrenia looked at the vampire "Vampire, you are one of a kind. More of a scholar than a killer?" She smirked and flicked her tail before nodding. "You could say you've made a commitment, but no pact has been made." She shook her head "Many years ago, My ancestors has seen a psychic who had for seen our fall. At the hands of the vampires." Her voice was edged with anger as she continued "And, after this was for seen a mysterious book was drawn from the sands of time." She pointed across the room to an 'alter' like stand with a large sand fountain centering it. "The script inside was enough to make my father's blood run cold 'Coming from the darkness...An Army of Shadows.... To End the light...Before victory, blood will seep from the ground....And Darkness will rule the day....'." She blinked up angrily, her fists clenched.
"We've had philosophers read the text repetitively, with no avail." She sighed exasperatedly "Vampire, why do you come here to seek this knowledge? You could have just as easily gotten the prophesy from your own lead."

"Mom!" The voice rang out in the hallway. It was full of stress and anger...She had been in yet another fight...Katrina's pads barely touched the floor as her sharp eyes scanned the hallway. Fire burnined within them. Another wolf had questioned her abilities...ahh...How stupid can they get? As she passed a wolf, she snapped at them. They quickly moved from her way..she was on rampage again..

She jestured toward the sands of time "The scroll is still there. It stays." She growled "but feel free to read it." She walked across the room wearily, Her daughter sounded asif on rampage... again.
"Rina, darling-- What's wrong?" She asked softly, her tail lightly dusting the ground behind her.

"I was in another fight...another wolf--,Hey...whats he doing here?" She snarled as she noticed Adrias. She looked questioningly at her mother. A growl errputed on her maw gently as she growled at them. "And why is the scroll out in plain view? Why does he need to know anything? He can go ask HIS superiors..." Her bad mood only worsened at the sight of him.

Syrenia sighed "Rina, Must I remind you that un-like our enemy, we are peaceful until threatened?" She sighed "He has not selected a side for war yet." Her voice was a murmer as she looked at her daughter... She looked so much like her father.
"Rina, You were fighting again?" She closed ehr eyes and shook her head and sighed.

"So. He is a vampire....He is just like the rest of them." Her tail swished agitatidly. She didnt trust him at all..In any way...
As for her Mothers question, she crossed her front legs gently and smiled childishly."Sorry? She sighed. "i oculdnt help it..All these new wolves keep questioning me....I get...testy.."

With a polite bow, although Syrenia was no longer looking at him, Adrias thanked the werewolf and walked over to the scroll. True, he could always ask his own higher ups, but at the cost of an arm and a leg, perhaps... No, it was better if they didn't know what he was up to... Ignoring Rina's choice of words, he sighed and gently opened the scroll, not wanting to damage it.
And so, he began to read it, or tried to at least, while keeping to himself. If he was about to get kicked out, might as well get as much as he could from this old beat up paper... Besides, every little helped, he supposed...

Syrenia sighed "Daughter, you must be patient with the new recruits." She laughed lightly "Or Darling, Try not to hurt them too badly." She shook her head and smiled.
"He is a vampire, but every creature has the right to knowledge."

Rina smiled gently at her Mother. She was always so patient. Rina was never as patient...She figured she got it from her Sire. It didnt matter anymore.
Her smiled quickly faded as Adrias returned to the conversation. "Not Every creature. Some cant be trusted." and with that she swished her tail gently to the side. Her paws were replaced with feet, her maw, a mouth, her fur, hair, and her body...well..human. She gave him a glare, and walked from the room defiently, clenching her swords as she did.

As Rina left, Adrias sighed once more and rolled up the scroll before placing it back where he had found it. "I supposed it can't be helped, yes? The younger generations, they do not fully understand things for themselves..." But, he didn't hold it against Rina. She would learn in time, hopefully, that not all creatures were bad.
Cracking his neck, he frowned. "I hope I'm not ruining your image by being here... I know that there are werewolves that loathe my kind with a deep passion..."

Sighing, Syrenia shook her head and blinked at the ground; Katrina was so like her father-- it pained her. She missed lupus terribly. With a long sigh she looked up and turned to Adrias "they are detailed scripture... take what you can from it."

With a hesitant frown, Adrias shook his head. "There is not much I understand from it, and what I have learned here I already know... My apologies, but there isn't anything I have at the moment to repay you for your services..."

Katrina wiped the tear from her cheek with such haste she nicked it with her nail. Feeling the blood she ignored it as she burst through the door's and walked through the common room, and through the big fornt doors, emurging. Crossing her arms she felt the tear begin to sting her eyes, wanting to fall. As she walked further from the castle, she let it, allowing it to sting the cut on her delicate cheek. She stopped as she neared the large oak tree. She slid down to the ground, resting her back aainst the base as she set her swords down. "Father....What do I do...Its so much harder...To keep this up..." she said gently.
She believed her Fathers spirit resided in this tree, his Favorite place near the castle. She was never allowed here as a child. It was his private place to be whatever. She never knew it...but it seemed her Father was not always to collected. A closer look at the scene would show deep claw marks just above Rina's head, made by her father when he was alive.

Syrenia shrugged "You do." She blinked "Do not fight against the Wolves..." her voice became distant "When the time comes..." She turned and in that moment transformed into her full wolf state. Her Ivory pelt gleamed as she started to pad away "Show yourself out. And come back when you wish."

Gentle red and organe leaves fell around her as a light wind blew by. She chucked her swords a good couple of feet (she didnt want them to go to far) and pulled her knee'sup to her chin. Titling her head back against the tree, she looked at the claw marks. Leaning foward and turneding around, she rose to her knee's. Now eye level with it she wighed. With nible fingers, her fingertips barely kissed the marks as she ran her fingers over them gently. "Why did you go....Why did they take you... Her soft voice was hardly a whisper as it matched the wind.

Do not fight against the wolves... Raising an eyebrow at the remark, Adrias watched Syrenia leave. Alone in the chamber, he sighed to hismelf. Politics were always a pain... But, a debt was a debt... Even if he didn't really gain anything from being here. Walking out, he ignored the death glares from the other werewolves. "Things should be a lot more interesting for me, then..."

Syrenia padded toward her daughter, her blue eyes filled with greif "Rina?" Her voice was soft, and her tail dusted the earth behind her. Rina, was all she had left.
Transforming in mid-step A slender woman stood before he daughter, reaching out to embrace. "Rina... I miss him too."

"Dont touch me!"She yelled angrily, her arms tight against her body, glaring at the ground. "You say you miss him, yet you let these creatures who killed him into the castle? " Her tear streaked face looked up into her mothers.Years of greif didnt do her any good, and she felt like a child right now, when all she really wantd to do was fall into her mothers arms. "How can you just sit by and let them take information like it doesnt matter? Wake up! He could go and tell his friends all he's learned, and all about the inside of the castle, where to go, who to go to....Sometimes I wonder if you really do care.." She didnt mean a word she said, but her greif consumed her, and at the moment, her mother was the only one there...To be honest....It seemed to her her Mother was the only who really still mourned her father.

Syrenia frowned "Rina, baby girl...." She sat next to her daughter "Honey, there are evil Lycans..." She murmered "And good Lycans." She blinekd at her daugheter again "Rina, Just like the sun and the moon there is always balance. Which means, Vampires too; are both good and evil." Her steel blue eyes were trained on the young female "Honey, I can tell if a vampire is good or bad." She blinked "I gained that skill many, many moons ago." She frowned "And, Just as we shelter every other creature, we are obligated to do the same for them." She extended her arms again, tears welling in her own eyes "Rina, your father will never leave our hearts, and if a dark vampire so much as sets foot in this place I will kill them with no seccond thought to it." She frowned "But, if they are light hearted-- We have to be there for them."

She didnt want to, but did. She fell into her mothers arm, collapsing in sobs as she leaned on her Mothers shoulder."What if you make a mistake? what then.." She said quietly. She heldher mother tight, wanting to go back to the peace they used to have, when she could just live...When her Father was alive.

Syrenia frowned "Dear, nothing is certain. If I make a mistake, then I make a mistake. Rina, I won't leave you... It will take more than a war to tear me away from you baby girl." She murmered holding her close in a warm embrace. "You're all I have left..." Tears rolled down her face as she held her daughter under Lupus's tree.

Rina smiled gently and nodded. she wiped her tears away, then her mothers. "I cant remember the last time we cried like this." She laughed, but it was hollow. She did remember, at her fathers death. She smiled gently at her mother. Hearing the loud barks and growl of a tussle in the castle. "Seems we are needed...I told you, its those stupid trainee's..Idiots..." she smiled at her mother gently an dlet her go. She walked gracefully to her swords and twirled as she picked them up, feeling like a great weight had been lifted.

Sighing happily Syrenia stood and transformed into her Lycan self as she always did with trainees. She cast a glance over at Katrina and smiled warmly, Her daughter was... At times, her only tie to sanity.
She shook her head and walked toward the castle, her blue eyes gleaming with pride... Perhaps.... Perhaps, there was hope. "Rina, what do you say we show them how a real battle is fought?" She smiled and shook her head amusedly.

Rina easily transformed into her lycan form, and smiled, her fangs glaring. "I dont think they remember how to fight claw to claw..." she smikred as her swords seem to sling to her pelt. She howled and tore off to her mother.

Syrenia laughed "There is truth in that." Standing infront of the newly recruited Lycans she smirked "Brothers and sisters. Have you forgotten what is on the line?" She shook her head "Vampires are fast, and if you're not prepared..." She growled "They will kill you." Surprisingly this grasped gasps from the crowd.
"How do you fight claw to claw?" She smiled "I want a volunteer." Of course, a young Lycan stepped foreward and lunged at the queen, receiving; what would have been a knee to the face if she hadn't have grabbed him by the scruff.
"oh god.... Were illl prepared..."

Rina smirked at the trainee. "Now dont hurt him, he is the ONLY on brave enough to lunge at you...Anyone else?" She questioned, receiving growls from the crowd, but none approached. Most had been at her earlier fight. A fight with the queen was rarely witnessed, many forgot she fought as good as her daughter, whom learned it all from her.
