Keith was running through the marshy vegitation, ducking in and out behind trees, leaping up onto branches to pause and listen for any sign of movement. He had been out of the cave for a long while now, but not long enough. The vampire smirked, finding not a trace of anyone else around. "Well, ain't that a pity." he stated, still perched in the tree. "Nobody to antagonize. Not even that pathetic angel, Gabriel." he chuckled darkly. The male then leapt to the ground, landing almost gracefully on the floor. "Hmm. Need to work on subtleness." he murmured to himself. The vampire then continued to run a little more before launching himself up yet another tree to a low branch. He wasn't just looking for other creatures to interrogate. He was also looking for a spot of lunch. Animal blood sounded like a good idea at the moment, but he couldn't find a single animal anywhere. He scowled, annoyed. "Why do they always flee?"

Striding through the dark, marshy land was a beautiful woman, with a stunningly pale complexion. Her body was round with life, and deep copper eyes full of sorrow. After abandonned by Gabriel, she;d tried to sought out Keith, knowing that he would help her... but, would he? Keila ducked annoyedly under some wet moss, that hung from a low branch , muttering something offhandedly as it spattered against ehr cheek. "...Hmmph. Lovely."

Keen vampire ears caught the voice of the female walking along the floor below. He watched her, with his casual smirk and rolled his eyes. What was she thinking, going so far from the caves? He dropped from the tree carelessly. "Hello, Keila." he spoke in a smooth tone. He querked a brow at her, folding his arms across his chest. His claymore hung in it's sheath at his side, bobbing up and down with his movement. "What are you doing here, so far from safety?" He eyed her swollen belly, knowing full well that Gabriel would want to see his child sooner or later. The vampire looked up to Keila, brows raising. Sure, he could see what had drawn Gabriel's eye. What he couldn't see, was why Gabriel had ditched her. He knew the angel wouldn't just leave her light-heartedly. Something else had to be causing the angel grief. Keith smiled at the thought. "At least he's suffering."

Keila shot Keith a skeptical look and folded her slender arms over her full chest, an annoyed expression flickering in her earthy eyes. "... Just because I'm pregant dosen't mean I need protecting." SHe growled stubbornly. Somethings never change...
Shifting on the heels of her feet, she expelled a discontented sigh before shaking her head. "Look, Keith; I'm not about to beg for your help- But I'm not to proud to ask. I'm going to have a child; and I know how hard it is to grow up without a father figure- so, I want you to take Gabriel's place..."
Turning her face to the moonlight, her sculpted face seemed to glow silver. "Seeing as he left."

"Yeah. What a coward..." Keith murmured with a smirk. The vampire moved closer with a shrug. "Anyway, so why are you choosing me to become the substitute father for this runt? I tried to kill Gabriel, remember?" He crossed his arms and held a slackish pose, a brow raised in mild amusement. This was going to be fun. If he was taking the role of the father, he could rub it into that angel's tainted heart. Keith wanted to hurt Gabriel in any way possible, and this....this was too perfect.
xxxxxx...
Elsewhere in the vast cold forest, Kayne and Gabriel were focused on not just finding the lycans, but to find Keila as well. However, both tasks were set aside on account of Kayne's lack of ability to hunt. The teen looked up at Gabriel from where they sat. Gabriel had flown himself and Kayne up to a branch on a tree. The older male sighed. "Mmkay. You see that rabbit, there?" "No." the teen frowned, eyes searching for the camouflaged creature. "It's right there." "Right where?!" "There!" "I don't see it!!!!" "Ah, there we go. You scared it off ya bloody mutt." "Hey!" Kayne retorted. "Just kidding." Gabby chuckled, looking around. "Okay, quick quiz. Show me those teeth." Kayne bared all his sharp fangs upon command. "Lets see them claws." Gabriel said. Kayne held out both front limbs, revealing nicely curved claws. "Good. Now, go find that rabbit!" "But I didn't even see it." Kayne growled. "Use your sense of smell, twerp." Kayne sighed, and leapt down from the tree branch, moving his nose towards the frozen ground. "I think I can smell it..." "Good! Now go after it!" "But-" "Go!" Kayne moved his head around a bit longer, then paused, then moved forward. Before Gabriel could blink the teenage lycan had bounded off into the forest, hat flying from his skull and scarf waving wildly in the wind. "Go get 'em, boy." Gabriel chuckled, tilting his hat over his eyes and reclining on the branch. Maybe the kid would survive after all.
Moments passed rapidly as soon Gabriel heard pawsteps coming towards him. He glanced at the ground, spotting his adopted comrad, Kayne. "Didja get 'em?" Gabriel asked. Kayne dropped a white rabbit that he had been carrying in his mouth. "Yeah!" Kayne grinned, wagging his tail. "All right!" Gabriel congratulated, dropping from his perch and swiftly picking up Kayne's hat and slapping it on the teen's head. "That's my boy!" Kayne gave a sheepish grin as he looked down at the rabbit. "I did good, didn't I?" "Yes, you did. I think the lycans will be impressed when you get home." "You really think so?" Kayne grinned. "Absaloutely." The fallen angel nodded, beginning to walk away. Kayne picked up the rabbit and trotted after Gabriel.
