Melody walked through the decadent halls of the Cavern. This sinister looking place was covered in dark colors and heavy wooden furniture, all that was needed were some rosemary scented rushes and it would be like an empty feudal tomb.
But inside this dreary place emerged laughter and the clinking of glasses, this almost merry sound contrasted starkly with the menacing surroundings. However, if one was to look closely at the glasses, and examine the laughter you would immediatly detect something wrong. The laughter wasnt happy and light, it was filled with hatred; it was the cruel laughter of those who love to torment and maim, kill and destroy. Inside these dispicable creature's glasses wasnt some fruity wine, expensive and rare. No, it was something much more priceless and costly, it was the blood of innocents, obtained from the horrible well that lay in the center of their horrible home.
Melody knew all of this, lived in all of this every day. Watching as male vampires brought frightened, young run-away teens to their rooms; listening to their screams of horror. Watching the prey being brought in, their throats slit and their blood drain into the well. Hearing the gasps of relief when the "saved" mortals were being kept alive, to unknowingly become cattle....
And she loved every second of it. She loved the power she felt flowing through her as she tortured her next victim, the intense pleasure she felt as she bit into her victim's neck.
She is the clan leader, the most powerful and evil of all the vampires; the creater of this human hell.

As Melody walked in, Adrias quelled the urge to frown, knowing that he'd have to behave if he wished to continue living in her dwellings. Despite his recent arrival to the Cave, he still distanced himself from the others, not quite liking their excessive thirst for blood... Leaning back against a side wall, he had one hand in a pocket, while the other held a glass. Like all of the other cups in the room, it was filled with blood.
Speaking of which, he had heard of rumors telling the story of how their current leader had reached her status... Through under handed deeds and trickery, no doubt. He had yet to meet her, but still, from what he had been told, Adrias wasn't too sure if he wanted to waste her time acknowledging his presence to her...
After raising his glass to his lips, Adrias silently sipped at his drink, still keeping his eyes trained upon Melody. She didn't look too dangerous, but looks could be deceiving... Hopefully she wouldn't notice him and pass by without incident, but he doubted that would happen...

Melody stopped as she felt eyes upon her. She glanced around her keen eyes looking for the being who dared to stare at her so boldly.
Then she saw him leaning against the wall with a cup of blood in his hands. As her eyes met his she felt the deep hatred that was as normal to her as breathing drain out of them, leaving them wide and open. This phenomenon snapped her back to reality, and with a animalistic snarl she walked out of the room, her skirts brushing him as though he was no more than an ugly peice of furniture.

She continued this furious stalk up into her lavish rooms, a tribute to some ghastly horror movie in all dark red and black velvets, deep blood red carpets, and a special brick floor area where several cattle were chained. And a huge white tiger lounged on an enourmus pillow.
As the mistress of this appalling room walked in however, it seemed to become even more horrifying as her black mood further deepened the hate.
'How....how...HOW?', her thoughts screamed, her throat constricting as she felt something akin to panic swell within her.
Any mind reader at this time might be wondering at the seemingly over reaction to this slight incident. But to Melody it was anything but so, she had deemed herself untouchable for love after the night of her nightmarish commencement into a vampire; the horrors she faced that night in the hands of her sire making her shrink from the touch of any other being.
This vow was what caused Melody to react so violently to that small melting of hatred, for she had began to feel something that she hadnt in centuries, fondness. No it wasnt some bad love novel head-over-heels-in-love kind of emotion...just a fondness. But this fondness was an emotion she had only allow herself to feel for her tiger Lucifer.
She definatly was going to have to keep an eye on this newcomer....

Silently observing her reaction to his scrutiny, Adrias allowed a small smile to crease his lips as she brushed by him. She always seemed to disapprove of him since the day he arrived, but it couldn't be helped, he supposed. Trust was something forged over time. And since vampires were immortal, trust could take centuries to develop.
Still watching her as she went to her personal chamber, the vampire sighed and set his glass on a nearby table before running his hand through his hair in a carefree manner. Whatever was her problem probably didn't concern him. Well, not yet, anyways... But, he figured it was best to keep on her good side, although Adrias highly doubted she had one...
After several minutes of preparation, Adrias went to her room himself, carrying a tray full of meat for Lucifer, and a large goblet of blood for Melody. Smirking at the thought of her name, he shook his head. It sounded too innocent to belong to a vampiress of her calibur... Opening the door, he looked in. So far, bringing their 'masters' food was the only way Adrias had seen others kissing up to their leader. "Your meal, Mistress."
Laying the tray down in front of Lucifer, he went about his business with a calm expression. To him, they were just another vampire and her pet. No big deal. Turning to Melody, he offered her the large cup, almost overflowing with fresh, warm blood. "You seem a little distraught over something, Mistress."

Melody stopped her pacing with a start as the cause of her distress entered her rooms. Startled out of her fury she grabbed the cup, a flash of confusion quickly masked. She forced her trademark smirk on her lips as she took the cup,
"Ah" she said as she took a small sip, "It is still fresh". One eyebrow raised in tribute as she noted both this and the tray of meat for Lucifer. The stranger had won over her pet it seemed; and he was much better at sucking up than the other imbeciles she was forced to endure. Perhaps this one might not be so bad.
Used to this sort of thing she smiled at the newcomer, although her smile was rare-nearly unheard of-it still meant little, for her smile held all the fury-and pain-of any of her other expressions. "What is it that you want?" she asked him swirling the blood gently in her goblet before taking a drink, "access to the cattle? To lead a team on the next hunt?" She said the two most common requests. "Because you are new and havent annoyed me TOO much yet I will allow you one reasonable thing, so ask away. Think of it as...a welcoming gift".

Standing with his hands clasped behind his back, Adrias listened to her words with little emotion. She seemed to be studying him, as he did her. Either that or his mind was weary from listening to all the banter caused by the other vampires... Her smile, he assumed, was only skin deep, so he thought nothing of it.
Raising his own eyebrow in reply, he pondered over her...'gift.' "All I ask for, Mistress," Adrias also took note that she liked to be in charge of things, and so, using formalities couldn't harm his cause... "is a safe place to sleep during my stay, and the liberty to come and go as I please. If you are worried about me exposing a few secrets, do not fret. The concerns of this land interest me not."
It seemed like a simple request to him, and Adrias wasn't liking the look on her face. Smiling politely, he bowed, but not too far. "If that is too much, then I will be content in being allowed to stay here for the time being, Mistress Melody."

One delicate black eyebrow raised, "Well of course you may stay, my home is open to any loyal vampire" she said with another sinister smile, "Well if you find something you want just ask, I never forget a promise" She said as a way of dismissal, she was getting tired of chatting.
Her eyes were slowly changing into the dark ruby red color that signaled to those around her that it was time for her to feed, that alone was enough for her fellow vampires to stay clear of her-she could often be heard to say that nothing truely abated her hunger like the blood of a fellow vampire.

With a nod, Adrias started to turn away, but paused when he saw her eyes change color. Of course, since he was new, Adrias didn't know if that was a good thing or not... Leaving the room, he went to go mingle with the other vampires down in the common room.
There wasn't much to do, and so he resumed his quiet scrutiny, while sipping on a glass of blood.

Keera sat amongst a group of other vampires as she sipped at her drink casually. The talk of the war around her seemed to unphase her at all. She was halfway in the conversation, and half in her own thoughts as she twirled the blood in the glass gently. Her legs were crossed gently as her face faced the group. One thing she enjoyed was she never did have to really listen to them. Their talk was to drab for her.
She arose gently and walked from the table, her glass in her hand as she exited the large room into the quieter hallways, where she leaned against the wall, thankful for the slight peace. All that noise...Her blindness due to the cover, without it she still couldn't see a dang thing..made her ears ache. Thanks to her blindness, it caused her ears to be sensitive to noise...and she hated it. Her lip curled gently as she thought about it.

Glancing as Keera as he was walking through the hallway, he blinked a few times. He wasn't aware that there were blind vampires here... Well, they must be desparate for soldiers, he presumed... Taking a quick sip from his cup, he studied her a bit more, confident that she had no clue what he was up to. But, he felt a little sympathy for her, though he knew he shouldn't.
Turning to leave, he paused as he noticed her choice of weapon. Some rumors had been going on about this one... Keera, was her name, he believed... Having new found respect for the vampiress, he frowned and turned to leave once more, not really want to attract attention to himself.

"Keep staring." She said to him as he moved. She didnt move a bit. She took a single sip from her glass. "Your the new one everyone is talking about, yes? Your aura is different than the others." She spoke gently, yet her voice was strong, and dripped in a deep evil. Her face turned in his direction. She just snickered a bit and faed foward again, taking another gentle sip from her cup."Your name is Adrias, correct?" She talked smoothly. She knew what he was feeling. sympathy. His aura gave it off, and it irritated her.

Stopping his pace as she spoke, he turned back towards her, raising an eyebrow. He respected the vampiress, but fear her, he did not... With a polite tone, he smiled and replied. "You are quite the perceptive one, aren't you? And yes, I happen to be this 'new one,' people have been talking about, though why I would cause such a stir still amazes me..."
"And correct, I am Adrias... I'm going to go out on a limb, but you are Keera, yes? Your weapon easily marks who you are. However, I have not heard of your ailment... I'm sure though, that it does nothing to lessen your effectiveness in combat." Perhaps this one would give into praise... Most of the vampires here soaked up any good words Adrias had to say about them.

Keera stood up gently, and turned her body to face him. "Ailment? I would say advantage. I am now able to "see" what others can not. Yes. I am Keera." she bowed gently. "The reason you cause such a stir, is because we are at the brink of war, and you have already managed to promise with Mistress Melody." She smiled. "For the rest of us it took mch longer." she walked towards him. "Care to walk with me to get a fresh glass?" She asked him gently. He seemed lie a gentlemen, and slightly intellegent...alot better than most of these blood thirsty idiots...

See what others could not see... He'd have to look into this 'Keera' person later on... She seemed like she would make a nice ally should things get a little rough... At the mention of Melody making him a promise, he smiled lightly and shook his head. "Being polite goes a long way, Ms. Keera..." Adrias was rather surpised at her offer, and wondered vaguely if she was setting him up for something...
Ignoring the suspicion, but keeping it in his thoughts, he nodded. "If you do not mind it, I suppose so." Walking with her, he glanced around at the other vampires. "So, about this war... What's it over? Land? Another blood feud?"

As they walkedshe shook her head gently. A few of the vampires in the room looked, but most refrained. THey knew what was her buisness, was hers, and only hers. She gently reached for a new glass once they reached the large table full of them. "I am afraid I cannot say exactly. It is not my place. I can offer a brief summary. Thats about it. " she spoke calmly as she faced him, stirring the blood in her glass gently.

Taking note that she was highly feared in the vampire world, he nodded at her words. Picking up a fresh glass for himself, he sighed. "I see... Well, a summary would be nice, never the less... I'd appreciate it if you could tell me at least a few things about the conflict... I know it hasn't started yet, but before I put my neck on the line I'd like to know what's at stake, here..."
Finding a pair of large, overly stuffed chairs, he sat down in one, and gestured for her to sit in the other. He didn't question her ability to know what he was doing, and gave no further thought about it. "Please, do begin..."

She reached the chair with grace and sat. "Well, for starters...Vampires and Werewolves never really got along... We started to increase our blood-lust..and I guess they grew jealous or angry, I'm not sure. We killed more and more. After that, an ancient scroll for told us ruling, you can bet they were not happy. Now, because of this, we are at the brink of war. Basically the werewolves don't want us to rule. That is the best I can do, the rest I am not allowed to say. Now, ask different vampires, get different stories. Melody is the one you really need to talk to."
She took a gentle sip from her glass and crossed her legs gently. She was glad he hadn't asked her why she was blind...like most idiots did. She could sense greater things were yet to come from him, but that was the best she could do. She looked forward to seeing his actions. He didn't seem quiet devoted to his race. "Having seconds thoughts about the war love?" She asked gently.

Listening intently to her words, Adrias soaked up the information. Well, the useful bits he didn't already know, anyways... Most of the stories he had heard were reliable, true, but only to a certain point. A good deal of the vampires he ahd asked changed things in the account they gave him, till he was left trying to piece things together from the tattered remains he'd been given. With a nod, he sighed. "I see... Thank you, Ms. Keera, that was most helpful indeed... I fear I shan't get anything more from the others, considering the confedentiality parts... But thank you once again."
A slight pause struck him at her last comment, and he studied her body language carefully. Which didn't really help, but it gave him some vague meaning of her thoughts and feelings. "If you think that I am a coward, you are highly mistaken... I am not from this land, and my ideals differ from yours dramatically... To put it simply, I am trying to figure out whether or not I am wasting my time here, that is all. I seek one thing, and that is the so called scroll."

"No, No. That isn't at all what I meant. I'm sorry you thought I meant that. By no means do I consider you a coward. I hardly know you. All I meant was your having second thoughts about fighting, risking your life for a cause you know nothing about, which is highly understandable. " She nodded gently ti him, taking a sip and relaxing. these chairs were comfortable to her.
She would be heading to her rooms soon, she was tired.. She smiled at him kindly. She would wait until she finished her glass. She wasn't one to waste.
She took it all in swiftly and rose. "Terribly sorry, but I am afraid it is late for me, and I need rest." She smiled gently. "If you think of anything else you need, I'm always around here somehwere... I kinda stick out.." She laughed a little and smiled gently before placing the empty glass on a table and exiting.

He could tell she was being sincere with her words, so he didn't pressure her. "Thank you for your understanding and your time, Ms. Keera... I appreciate it greatly. And if there is anything I could do to repay the favor, please do not hesitate to ask." Standing up, he bowed politely. As always, chivalry seemed to work wonders, even in these times and places... Perhaps manners really did count when you wanted things...
He had always heard of Keera being a rather evil person, but her actions did not quite reflect that. Possibly a ruse, or another sort of trick to lull him off guard... Oh well, he'd figure it out later. Returning the smile, he took her glass from her, offering to put it where it belonged. "Have a good rest, Ms. Keera. I look forward to talking to you again some time..." Smiling, not chuckling or laughing, at her 'sticking out remark, he shook his head. "There's nothing wrong with that. I think it makes you look distinguished."
Bidding her farewell, he turned around and sighed. "So many people... Too much information... Looks like I'll be here longer then I thought..."

Keera yawned gently as she stepped from her room, closing and locking the door behid her. To many vampires were to curious, and there were things they didnt need to see. She walked gently down the hall into the common room which was still crawling with vampires. She moved around every table just as gracefully as if she could see. She knew this place like the back of her hand. She grabbed a small glass, she wasnt too hungry. Taking a gentle sip as she leaned against the table she thought about her conversation with Adrias.

She stood up, glass in hand, and walked back through the common, back to her usual table with the usual loud-mouth vampires whom she talked with. She titld her chair back and propped her feet up on another chair, listening to them gently, still mulling over her conversation. she needed to talk with Melody about their guest..

Damian sat in the back of the room his steel-toed boots propped up on the table as his spine leaned heavily against the back of the chair he sat upon. In his hand a glass of blood waited, a single drop running over the edge and down the side. His cold, sly charcoal eyes scanned the room examining each figure that took up space as his ears soaked up conversation. No one else sat next to him at the table shadowed in the darkness of the corner was it sat. People had long ago learned that this was his table. Lifting the half full glass to his lips Damian drank deeply and swiftly his head tilting slightly back as he allowed the bitter sweet blood to pour down his throat. After drinking his fill Damian removed the edge from his lush lips and pulled his hand back down as the glass returned to its long wait as his eyes fell back onto the crowd of other vampires.

Smiling gently as she saw Damien, she arose, excusing herself from the table and irritating voices. Taking her glass in her gentle hand, she walked to his table, and sat in th echair next to his.She propped her feet up on his lap instead of the table...It disgusted her. He was the only one she would allow to do it. She smiled gently at him."How have you been Damien?" She said gently.

Damian wasn't surprised when Keera had walked over, sat down and propped her feet on his lap. If she had been someone else, his claymore would have already been through their chest. But he let her slide, he always let her slide, there was just something about her that made him like her. In a way it disgusted him. A smirk crawled to his lip as he took a tiny sip of his drank, his cold, lifeless eyes fixing on her. "Quite fine," Damian answered setting the glass on the table. "And you?" His blank expression slightly changed as his eyebrows tilting slightly up wards. (( I have to go now. ))

Could It be because of this horrid bandage ove rmy eyes?" She saidsarcasticlly. "He is quiet a vampire...I look foward to seeing just how far I can bend him." With that she smile evily. (Aww.. Standing gracefully, she placed her drink on the table, and walked from the room. Stepping into the hallway she walked to the door, and left quietly. A few curious eyes followed, but once the door shut, they dismissed it. Besides, if they snooped to hard it could be painful for them.
She walked deeo into the surrounding wood, to a place she came to often, where she practiced without prying eyes, where she could removed her bandage. Removing it gently, a glowing purple color engulfed the entire eye. She could see the tree, and she could see it up in flames. Her eyes allowed her to see the worst possible thing that could happen to whatever she looked at, as well as what was known about them by her superiors. Few ever did see her practice, she wouldnt allow it. When she fought, se removed her bandage, that was one of the secrets. It allowed her to see the worst thing possible to do, which is part of the reason she fought to well.
Pulling out her daggers, the short chains didntlook like much. In a heart beat, she lashed out at one of the tree's , the chains whipping around it. Once she pulled it, the chains cut deep withing the bark, a little bit harder and she could have snapped it in half, but that would be loud, and she didnt want onlookers.

The two walked casually into the building, getting a few uneasy looks from passing vampires. It always happened. They gave of that vibe that made anyone uneasy. Crissy gently nibbled on the top of her lolli-pop. She always had one, it was said to be poisonous...it was. She always had one, nibbling on it, even during a fight. If she used her hands at all she would simply use her free hand. Taking the treat away was an easy way to get on her bad side, which was not a wise choice. Vixy gently flipped a long strand of hair from her face as she looked at the passer-bys with such emotionless grace it caused a few to stutter or freeze on the spot. With a gentle touch on a passing males cheek she had him melt like butter, sliding down the wall to the floor. She laughed evily as he looked dazed up at the ceiling.

Damian smirked a little wider, he bet she could bend him very far. But he didn't reply, he simply watched her stand and walk off. She probably was going somewhere alone to take her bandages off. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he leaned forward picking up his glass and finished the last bit of blood in a single gulp. Shoving the empty glass into a passing vampires hand not caring that the vampire shot him a nasty look. But the other didn't refuse taking it, he didn't want the poisonous skinning blade touching his skin. From the corner of his eye Damian watch the vampire shiver and stalk off, he knew what he had been thinking about. Returning his blank expression to the entrance of the cave Damian mused, 'This Adrias, who was he?' He thought he had heard of him spoken of once before in one of the conversations being hold in the room but didn't really think twice about him. He must be a newcomer, and a fool. Hopefully he'll get his brain straight and not challenge Keera. Damian's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the entrance of two female vampires, oh...it was them. Damian's lips curled downward in a frown, eye slightly narrowing at the sight of them. They were too...arrogant.
