A shadow stood like a morose memorial upon the sweet grasses that tickled the bellies of the rose bushes. Inhaling the curling mist, a masculine sighed to himself as he reached out to touch one of the many flowers with a tembling hand. There was no mistaking his rage and sorrow, for his marsh irises told it all. The night he killed her; killed his love. He retracted his arm slowly and turned away. Had he not been cursing deeply in his mind he would have been crying tears of pain. The bangs of hair closed like a curtain around the hating eyes. Lifting his head, the masclune took off his fedora gracefully and held it with both hands; but even though the light side tried to quell the rage of the darkness, the angel felt his conciounce ripping itself apart to the weak bones.
With one lightning move, the fallen angel made appear a revolver from inside his jacket and shot at some of the roses. Slapping his hat back on, he ripped one of the flowers from it's steam, ripping off it's delicate petals in fury.
"I hate you. I will never return. Never. I won't fall for such a weakness ever again."
He hid his revolver once more and ripped the leaves off of the bushes that passed him as he made a morose march along the stone pathways, cursing violently.

The moonlight enveloped her as she strode through the thick fog and into the rose garden, her chocolate hued eyes immediately finding a man, who stood in the vegitation, tearing the petals off of a rose. Her thin brows rose, and a frown curved her crimson lips. Why would someone defile something so harmless and beautiful? Her curvaceous figure weaved through teh surrounding bushes until she stood mere meters away from the man, her expression cool and un-readable. She shook her head and folded her arms across ehr chest before clearing her throat. "What did they do to you?" She asked loosely, seeming almost detached as her sweet voice rose into the night air.

The masculine snapped around to look at the other who had approached him without hesitation. Instinctively he reached inside his jacket to attach a firm grasp upon the handle of his main weapon. "Why would you care? You don't even know me." He wasn't in the mood for loveless conversations, and it revealed it though the hiss of sound through his teeth. His frame seemed to edge as his rage faintly ebbed. He was loosing intrest in everything around him, yet ripped another rose clean from the bush with his free hand and began to make it crumple in the dirty palm of his hand. As he crushed the plant, the petals lifelessly began to drift away from his clutches through the cage bars of his fingers. He stole another breath from the misty aura that snaked it's way around the garden floor. He bowed his head so that the thin rim of his fedora made his eyes vanish. It annoyed the fallen angel that the girl wasn't leaving yet, so he tried to put in another comment to make her turn away. "Besides, it's just a stupid plant."

She furrowed her brows and growled. "Perhaps you were mistaken, I care not what they've done to you, but why in the hell are you ruining the roses?" She demanded, her voice suddenly void of any warmth it had earlier held. Her annoyed expression turned into one of rage as he dropped hte flower on the ground. "What exactally are you doing?" She hissed, watching yet another plant fall from his hand to the ground. She narrowed her eyes. "Fine." Inhailing sharply, the woman stepped foreward and firmly grasped his wrist, where her slender fingers stay, stead-fast.

"Let go of me!" the angel hissed, striking the female across the face with one of his trembling hands and wrenching himself free of her hold. He gave a unimpressed frown and began to face a different direction. It was true, never did he expect his rage to take over so quickly; but he wasn't sorry. As he turned back to look at the firey girl he looked away once more. This episode was too much like the one he had encountered in the past. The twilight hour where he and his lady stood talking in soft, warm tones to one another, whispering secrets in eachother's ears. It pained him to remember. His lady had told him the worst secret of all, and yet she seemed more joyful than sorry as she told him; she loved someone else. "I'll never go back. No. Never." He trembled like the mouse afraid of the feline as the cat prepared to bite down and break it's tiny bones. The angel shook his head. "Never."

Keila fell to the ground and lifted a trembling hand to touch her cheek, red and swollen. She glared at him, her fists instinctively balling themselves. As she stood and bit her lip. God, did they pull men away in class and teach them where to connect palm to face? Her eyeball felt like it was going to explode. "What the hell was that?" She screamed, rage taking over her emotions. "Jesus fucking christ!" She closed her eyes and took a few steadying breaths before slightly bending ehr knees and peeling her eyes open. "Pansy-ass." She hissed, her fangs piercing her lower-lip.

The masculine just gave her an unreadable glance. Dipping his nose towards the ground, he hid his eyes once more under the sleek rim of his hat. He stole another rose; it was crumpled in his hands like a uless piece of paper. Had he hadn't been entranced by the eerie fog that wrapped it's blanket around the bushes, he would have spread his withered wings and took flight, but no. What was the point? Running away from a past that was so far, yet so close? Whispering dreams in his sleep? He felt his rage flush in another wave of sorrow and gave a heavy sigh, pretending to ignore her comments. "Pretend that didn't hurt"

"Stupid ass..." She hissed, brushing off her long, sleek black gown, a writhering glower in her dark eyes. As he crumples another rose, her anger peaked. Without a seccond thought, she hurled herself at him, her clawed fingers outstreached, and fangs gleaming. How dare he test her nerve?

There was a gasp from the startled masculine as he was sprung at by the lady. Without much balance, he toppled over and landed harshly on the ground, his fingers screaming at him from being bent so harshly underneath him. He clentched his teeth as he attempted to shove her off of him. "What the hell is your PROBLEM?" His morose temper was fueled once more and it burned inside of him like a bonfire that was fed gasoline. His bones groaned and snapped as his sat up shakily, pushing her away from him.
Another flashback.
His own love wailing in terror as he killed her and the man she really loved. Her cries being drowned as she sank into the pools of blood. He voice began to echo to him; A poem she and her brother had written together.
"Cut the veins and pour thy blood, Watch us gulping in the flood. Moan in hunger; moan in vein, Watch their blood go down the drain."
He whimpered lowly to himself.

Keila glared at him as she was shoved aside, and landed with a 'thud' in the damp grass. Standing, she brushed herself off and cast a long look back at him, her brows furrowed. "You're a freak. And, stop taking it out on the roses..." Her breath was ragged, as her annoyance deminished.

Gabriel didn't look at her right away as she spoke. The masculine was paying attention to the roses, which he had a lust to kill. A sudden illusion of his old love seemed to walk past the bushes, gently touching the roses. Shaking his head, he abruptly blurted out his thoughts. "I don't care." Though this was really meant for the illusion that seemed to haunt him wherever he went, he noticed that he had turned slightly and seemed to be speaking to Keila. He noticed the ilusionation of Kaylee (his old love) behind Keila, but Gabriel knew that she wasn't really there; yet something seemed to tick in the back of his mind. Kaylee's illusion didn't leave his sight as he looked just to the side and towards the bushes, and her spectre seemed to be that it wasn't going to rest. Rolling his eyes under the rim of his hat, Gabriel kept his head bowed as he walked up beside Keila, standing beside her, but not facing the same way. After a moment of complete silence, Gabriel cleared his throat and muttered. "Sorry." He felt his rage lift as he uttered the word, and for one he felt content with himself. The reasonable angel was sinking back into his soul, and uncomfortably adjusted his fedora. The fallen hated being haunted by the memories of Kaylee, her love and family. This wasn't going to be easy for him, and he knew it. Why make more enemies? They all hated him. Besides, Keila seemed to be a fine lady and didn't exactly deserve what he did to her. He made another comment, yet the unloving tone still prevailed. "So....who be you?"

She had been gently touching the cold petals of a white rose when he approached her, adn though she was subtle about it, had tensed somewhat. 'Sorry' She cast him a sideways glance while raising a brow. If she didn't think that he was insane before, she certainly did now. What the hell provoked a man to strike her down, fight then appologise? She swallowed before shrugging non-chalantly. "Whatever.." She blinked down at her thumb, which she had pricked on one of the sharp thorns. "Ah, damnit..." She muttered, wiping the blood on a leaf of the rose bush. She blinked at him as he persisted, now asking who she was. She cleared ehr throat and folded her arms, not sure if she could trust him or not. "Kelia..." She murmered softly, her eyes looking off into the distance; as if disturbed, or preturbed by her name... but why? "You?" Her voice was soft, like a light mist playing on the wind when she responded, seeming trapped within herself.

Gabriel would have smiled if he hadn't been watching her closely from the corner of his eye. He gave a small nod, and slightly lifted his hat. He observed her cafefully and took the hand that had been punctured and kissed it lightly on the back. "Gabriel" His mind was running about franticly. In the back of his mind, he was beating himself and screaming so loud, yet only he himself could hear it. 'What just happened?' He gave a bleak look after releasing her hand gently and looked away. "Erm, yeah...My name...is Gabriel..." He hid his eyes under a curtain of dark navy hair, slightly embaressed over the fact that he acted so much like a gentlemen now, yet like a monster back then. The fallen bit his lip, backing away and turning towards a different bush so that he didn't have to look at her. A thought swept through his mind, and he gave an unhappy frown. "Go soak you head, Gabriel! You're falling for HER!"

A light flush covered Keila's cheeks when he kissed her hand, and as he backed away, she finally withdrew it. Honestly, she was dumb-struck by the suddeness of his actions. "Gabriel." She murmered softly, somewhat saddened as he turned away from her; again. Taking the head of a rose in her hand, she gently caressed the soft petals before sighing softly and blinking foreward, annoyed that she was allready thinking about him. Gabriel. She pressed a palm to her forehead and groaned, annoyed with herself. What in the hell was she thinking, allowing him to enter her mind... Gasping as she again nicked a finger on the rose thorns, she cursed and retracted her hand, blinking at teh bleeding appendage. "damnit.." She looked up at the moon and frowned softly before glancing back at Gabriel and shrugigng to herself. "You're not from around here... are you?"

The angel didn't respond instantly, but he did turn to look at her through the navy curtain. He shook his head, moving slowly back over to her and glancing at her newer wound sadly. "No. I don't exactly know where I'm from, all I know is that it isn't from here. This place is too beautiful to have been my birthplace." A song began to play in his mind, and he ocassionally whispered a word from the lyrics. "Are you going to Scarborough Fair....Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme..." (He sung the whole thing in reality.) "She was once a true love of mine..." Once he had finished, he stole a deep breath from the misty blanket of fog. He looked at Keila with pained eyes that were bloodshot red around the outter edge. Gabriel did manage a smiled for Keila, but instantly deminished it as he remembered Kaylee. He wasn't about to fall in love again, or at least he was going to try his best not to. "Don't fall for her, Gabriel! Don't you dare....but on the other hand...She is rather pretty...

Keila raised her brows at him. 'Scarborough Fair.' She though, smiling faintly. It was a beautiful song, truly. "Rember me to one who lives there..." She whispered, a tear catching on her lower lashes. That song brought back painful memories... Did he smile? Her expression softened somewhat, and she smiled before looking at the horizon and sighing softly. "Gabriel, you are a man of mystery." She smiled and lifted a hand to her cheek, catching the salt beadlet which slid down, against her thin cheek.

He looked up at her, and gave a look of pure innocence. "Is that...a bad thing?" That voice hadn't been used for as long as Gabriel could remember. His voice was usually growly and harsh, but not there. It was light and full of care and understanding; but wasnt what angels were meant to be? Then again, being a fallen angel that had it's wings broken and plummeted from the sky... He took one of her hands in his, and Gabriel felt a rush of heat sprint down the core of his spine, making him shudder ever so lightly in delight. He watched the glistening tear cascade down her face, and forgot all about Kaylee. His mind went blank as he came closer to her, his nose softly touching hers. Oblivious of his actions, he drew her towards him and gave her a soft kiss, his lips gently pressing against hers. In that one second, he knew. He had fallen for her.

She raised a brow before smiling softly. "Not nessicarily..." As he took one of ehr hands in his, the vampriss swallowed, not entirely sure how to react to his action. And, when he kissed her, her whole world shook. Emotions roared through her, screaming in her heart, making her feel weak, and desprate; drowining in a sea of confusion and emotion... But... it felt right. Something about it-- was just; right. She lifted a trembling hand and burried it in his hair, her fingers twining with the silk sea of blue.

Gabriel closed his eyes with a small smile as he kissed her, stroking her hair with trembling hands. Something was still missing from him, but he was much to happy with Keila to ever ponder such a thought. He broke away for only a few seconds to whisper a short sentance to her. "I think...I think I love you, Keila..." Gabriel opened his horizon sky blue eyes to look at her beauty and held her closer yet, if that was possible. He inhaled her sweet scent as he smiled. It was not an easy thing to overcome. To Gabriel, smiling was like the first time going down a water slide the size (in a child's eyes) of the C.N tower. Gabriel took a rose (gently, this time) and offered it to Keila, making sure that she wouldn't hurt herself on any more of the thorns.

Keila blinked at him, too breath-taken to respond. He loved her? This was officially the weirdest day that she'd ever had... Shifting, she blinked at him and smiled softly. "Do you?" She sighed softly and took the rose from him before laughing softly and placing it in her hair. "Thank-you Gabriel." She rested ehr head on his broad shoulder, her eyes soft and content. She didn't remember the last time she'd felt a... warmth. Ever really... "I might love you too." She laughed softly and closed her eyes.

Gabriel was slightly beginning to come back to his senses once more, and felt the painful urge to move away from Keila. Although her beauty was more than unspeakably superior, something just wasn't fitting with the puzzle. The masculine looked about, but no spectres or ghosts circled around, hounding memories on him as they passed. No, there was nothing but the soft breaths that he and Keila stole while hidden in the gardens. He looked away slightly, and felt repressed as he wanted to strike another rose with his revolver. It hurt him that he loved Keila, but in that privelage of her loving him back, he was officially unable to harm anything around him without reason. "Yes...possibly..." that was all he could stammer.

Gabriel flinched as her hand made contact with his flesh. "I-it's nothing...Really, honestly, truly nothing. I'm fine." He gave an ever so weak smile, but being in his nature, the smile didn't last long. In his efforts though, he did manage a small half-smile instead.

Gabriel looked towards the horizon too and saw the splashes of pink and purple smearing it's navy canvas. He nodded, taking a very deep breath. "I guess so..." He flared his wings marvelously, making them spread far to the sides. The feathers were quite beaten and no doubt healing from many previous duels, yet, his plumage still seemed quite lively and proud. The sleek feathers hid Keira from the dawning sun, yet Gabriel still had his doubts if he truly did love her. He felt that he chose right this time, yet still, a part of him seemed to be missing. He cleared his throat abruptly. "Ahem, best get you inside...where it's.....dark......"

Gabriel looked about for some place that was dark and suited as a well-shaded area. Nothing really came to mind, but he did ever so slightly have the thought of taking her back to his place for the day; but even though he turned it away, he being the man who recently beat her and ripped apart roses was more than forever in her debt. "So...um, do you have any place that you want to go to?" Gabriel flapped his wings lightly, making a soft breeze rush through Keila's hair.

"Great! Uh.....Where is that?" Gabriel had no sense of direction and the only placea he was actually familiar with were the Villages and the Rose Garden. He gave a sorry look about his horrible navigation and stretched his wings as the sun began to creep over the distant horizon, it's rays stretching across the purple-blue canvas of the sky. "Well...You can point the way, I'll take you there."
