Syrenia was dead, Lupus had disspered and the current Alphas had dissappered. He was mated to the real heiress of the Pack and he wasn't going to sit around and not do anything. It was time he pulled the pack together aganist this war. The vampires were lax about it. He wasn't going to be. He entered the empty throne room and quickly transformed. He was getting better at this transforming at will thing but usually it happened when he was mad or upset. He lifted his ears to listen to see if the new Alphas were near by before he lifted his head and let out a howl, calling the entire pack to him.

(( I'm not as dead as you think, dearie.))
A white wolf padded into the throne room, her ivory pelt rippling with each distinct movement she made, tail swaying back and forth calmly. Eyes of a unique oceanique hue locked upon the caller, snd she inclined her slender, yet powerful muzzle. This was her daughter's mate, and a good choice he had been- apparently.
The dignified she-wolf sat, her tail wrapping easily around her, and laying at rest, as she inspected the male. "You are Ahren. Mate of Katrina." She stated, knowingly.
What she also knew was, once she saw her pack together, and the end of the war- she would be leaving. To a place that would need them more.

((haha opps... I didn't know what happened at the Execution))
Ahren lowered his head and he bowed his head to her. "My Lady..." He whispered. "I thought you were dead..." he said sadly. He lifted his head more proudly. "Yes, ma'am. I am Ahren, mate of Katrina. I'm tired of these new Leaders who call themselves our "Alphas"!" he spat viciously. "I wont sit back and watch the war unfold around us and destroy us! I want to fight!" he snapped his jaws, his tail lashing and his claws digging into the ground as though the battle fought before him.

Katrina's ears had swiveled at the sound of a males call. The sound had been high enough to take on the role of Alpha. Yet the only Alpha Katrina could recall was her mother.... These new beasts were nothing to her. She would not acknowledge them.
With her mother current missing, she would assume Alphess, competing with these... mongrel rogues. What irked her at the moment, though, was the call of an unknown Alpha.
She followed it, of course, only to find Ahren and her mother. The call had not belonged to her mother, that left Ahren. Rage and jeaousy surged through her.He had no right to assume command of the pack under any situation. Not yet. She had not asserted dominance, mat or not he would not damage her standing within the pack. She already had a hard enough time being the lycan heir, she would NEVER have her packmates bow down to any alpha that was a mere mate.
You could say it was her jealousy and anger moving her, but she snapped angrily at Ahren, her fur coated muzzle clamping close to his own, just a hair higher as she tried her best to stand taller than the other. Of course technically that would never happen, he stood a good foot taller than her... but she had an ego just as big as anyone else, and she would do her best, dammit!
"I just love returning to the sound of someone else's voice assuming my title... "she growled. Her real issue? The word 'mate'. She feared it. Feared to commitment it brought with it. She hadn't yet announced anything concerning Ahren. Her mother and he were jumping to conclusions. Katrina was fickle, and she was not hiding it.

As soon as he harsh words and teeth snapped near him, he immediatly bowed down in a submissive pose, licking her cheek as a subordinate would an Alpha. "Forgive, my dear. I am simply tired so sitting around and having these pathetic fake Alphas rule us. I am just as anxious as you to do something. Forgive me for acting without your ok."
He turned his attention from Katrina to her mother and smiled politly at her, bowing his head and licking her as well. "I'm so glad to see you, My Lady." he told her. "Any sign of your mate Lupus? I have not seen him since they've tried to execute you two."

As he licked her and bowed down, her ears laid flat against her head as the regretted her actions. She knew he meant the best, so why did she always feel the need to act out? She licked him back,m rubbing her head underneath his own, cradling his head on the back of her neck, watching her mother.

Syrenia's deep saphire eyes trained themself on Ahren's bowed head when he adresed her, and shook hers in response. "Formalities may be forgone in these times..." Her voice seemed detached- ethreal as she responded to him. "I have not the time for passing. Not yet." She murmured, shifting her silver-white body.
His rage provoked a furrow in her brow. Anger- often lead to rash decisions. With youth, both in years and in his lycanthrope state, she wondered wether departing so soon would be wise. Though a firmness was required to lead- it could also undermine even the strongest of command.
Her snowy ears swiveled back for a moment, and thought flashed behind her eyes. She had not forgotten about the new 'disease' plaguing the lycan race. Superfluous alphen, whom seemed to not know where their alleigence lie. She shook her dignified head, her pelt bristling softly. "Fighting should not be your first course of action." She soothed mildly, aged wisdom seemed to seep through her voice. She flattened her ears, vague worryment dappling her expression. She did not want to see he, nor her daughter be lost in the tidings of war.
Syrenia, hearing the light click of claw against the marble surrounding them twisted to face the new commer. Inside her chest, her hert seemed to swell with pride. Her daughter entered the room, looking quite determined, and autocratic. She flicked her tail and watched the display between the two with an obvious hesitance.
Even between themselves, there seemed to be tension. The alphess' shoulders tensened and she crained her neck foreward, ears erect atop her head. The instant rage and frail temperment of her two, now heir (beta) couple unsettled her. She had been eager to turn the pack to Katrina and he, but the snapping, and almost violent emotion radiating off of the two had her on edge. Maturity, that comes with years could sort these emotions- it brought wisdom. But years, they did not have.
A small spark of hope was ignighted with Ahren's instant submission to Katrina- though there was something about him bowing after taking controll of the situation that made her pelt rise. She sighed softly to herself, and lifted her muzzle into the soft wind that flowed through the open window, relishing in it's soft, cool touch. Once her mind was centered again, and she was adressed, Syrenia looked at the two young lycans.
Lupus was not here? Her stomach twisted within, and her heart gave a sharp, abrupt squeeze. "I'm... sure he is-" She broke off, suddenly unsure of how to respond. She, after all had been kept in a safe haven. Tori had whisked her away into her heaven- but where had Lupus been left? Her heart plummeted into her feet, and she closed her eyes. When she opened them, her deep, now navy eyes were transfixed on the future of the pack. "He is fine. I'm sure he will join us when the time is.. appropriate."
She stood and streched her ivory hued limbs, before lifting her tail and nodding. "We must act soon."

Ahren decided to ignore Syrenia's advice on fighting. They weren't fighting! Katrina was the heir, not him and he was still surprised she had decided to accept him... As much as he hoped she had accepted him. No, Katrina was the Alpha in his position and he was simply the beta, a small form of power but never exceeding her own. That was the way this relationship was going to blossom. But when Syrenia spoke of Lupus, he turned his attention back to her. "We will need him once the war begins. We need his strength and I'm sure we could get used to seeing him again." he turned his eyes on Katrina to empathsize his words.
He knew of Katrina's deep love for her father. It was the only man she had ever really lived and given her soul to. He knew it was hard for her to love him, a simple werewolf, when her father had her heart. The man was a legend! A man everyone loved. Ahren, too, found himself deeply impressed and awed by the male lycan.
He changed the subject quickly thought, not wanting to sit on depressing subjects. "You're right, Syrenia. We must act soon. The vampires are also getting together and I fear Jack will hand the Coven over to Willym because of Chainz. Jack will lose everything he holds dear if he continues to hold the throne and he knows damn well Chainz will take it from him." he turned to face Katrina. "What should we do?" [/size]
